Stirring spoon
- 2 oz brandy or whiskey, if preferred
- 1 sugar cube
- 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
- Splash of club soda or 7-Up
- Orange slice
- Maraschino cherry
- Ice cubes
Muddle the sugar and bitters: Drop a sugar cube into a rocks glass and add 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters. Use a muddler to gently crush the sugar cube and mix with the bitters until dissolved.
Add ice: Fill the glass halfway with ice cubes to chill the mixture.
Pour the brandy: Add 2 ounces of brandy over the ice. If you prefer whiskey, feel free to swap it in for a more traditional version.
Top off: Depending on your taste, top off the drink with a splash of club soda for a more straightforward flavor or 7-Up for a sweeter, bubbly twist.
Garnish: Stir lightly and garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry. For a touch of extra sweetness, you can muddle the orange slice with the sugar cube in the first step.
Enjoy: Your Wisconsin Old Fashioned is ready to serve!
