Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ oz tequila blanco or reposado
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz triple sec or Cointreau
  • ½ oz agave syrup or simple syrup
  • 4-5 fresh strawberries hulled
  • 1 small jalapeño sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedge and coarse salt for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it in coarse salt. Set aside for later.
  • Muddle the Strawberries and Jalapeño: In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh strawberries and a couple of slices of jalapeño (adjust based on how spicy you want it). Muddle them together until the strawberries are well broken down and the jalapeño releases its heat.
  • Add the Liquids: Pour in the tequila, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and agave syrup.
  • Shake it Up: Fill the shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds until everything is well combined and chilled.
  • Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into your prepared glass over ice. Garnish with a slice of jalapeño and a strawberry for a fun presentation.
  • Enjoy: Sip slowly and savor the perfect blend of sweet strawberries, spicy jalapeños, and smooth tequila.
