Equipment

  • Lime squeezer (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz. tequila preferably blanco
  • 1 oz. triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz. pomegranate juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup adjust to taste
  • Ice
  • Lime wedges and pomegranate seeds for garnish
  • Coarse salt optional, for rimming the glass

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Glass: If you like a salted rim, run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into coarse salt. Set aside.
  • Mix the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, pomegranate juice, and simple syrup.
  • Shake It Up: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain and Serve: Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
  • Garnish: Add a lime wedge and a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds on top for that pop of color and flavor.
