- 2 ripe peaches peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 2 oz tequila silver or reposado
- 1 oz triple sec or Cointreau
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz simple syrup adjust to taste
- Ice cubes
- Salt or sugar for rimming the glass optional
- Peach slices and lime wedges for garnish
Prepare the glass: Start by rimming your margarita glass with salt or sugar. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it into a plate of salt or sugar. Set aside.
Blend the peaches: In a blender, add the peach slices and blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, you can mash them with a fork instead.
Combine ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add the peach puree, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup. Add a handful of ice cubes and shake well for about 20 seconds.
Serve: Fill your rimmed margarita glass with ice. Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.
