Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz tequila preferably blanco
  • 1 oz orange liqueur like Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz hibiscus syrup store-bought or homemade
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • Ice
  • Orange slices and edible hibiscus flowers for garnish optional
  • Coarse salt or sugar for rimming optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Glass: If you like a salted or sugared rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into coarse salt or sugar.
  • Combine Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, hibiscus syrup, and fresh orange juice.
  • Shake It Up: Fill the shaker with ice, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain: Fill your prepared glass with fresh ice and strain the mixture over the ice.
  • Garnish: Add a slice of orange and, if you’re feeling fancy, drop in an edible hibiscus flower for a beautiful touch.
