- 1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup ripe mango chunks
- 2 oz whiskey bourbon or rye works great
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 4-6 fresh mint leaves

- Pineapple or mango slice for garnish optional
Muddle the fruits and mint: In a cocktail shaker, add the pineapple chunks, mango chunks, and mint leaves. Using a muddler, gently mash them to release their juices and the aroma from the mint.
Add the whiskey and lime juice: Pour in the whiskey, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup over the muddled fruit.
Shake it up: Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to mix and chill everything.
Strain and serve: Strain the mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice. If you prefer a more rustic cocktail, you can skip straining and pour it all in.
