Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup ripe mango chunks
  • 2 oz whiskey bourbon or rye works great
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 4-6 fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Pineapple or mango slice for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Muddle the fruits and mint: In a cocktail shaker, add the pineapple chunks, mango chunks, and mint leaves. Using a muddler, gently mash them to release their juices and the aroma from the mint.
  • Add the whiskey and lime juice: Pour in the whiskey, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup over the muddled fruit.
  • Shake it up: Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to mix and chill everything.
  • Strain and serve: Strain the mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice. If you prefer a more rustic cocktail, you can skip straining and pour it all in.
  • Garnish: Add a pineapple or mango slice and a sprig of mint for an extra touch of tropical flair.
