Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife or pizza cutter
  • Optional: toothpick for the eyes

Ingredients

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 10 hot dogs
  • 1 tablespoon mustard or ketchup for the mummy eyes
  • Optional: cheese slices

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While that's heating up, grab a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 rectangles. Pinch the perforations to seal them so you have a solid piece of dough for wrapping.
  • Cut each rectangle into thin strips, approximately 1/4 inch wide. These will act as the mummy’s “bandages.”
  • Wrap your hot dogs with the dough strips. Leave a gap for the "face" so you can add eyes later. You can get creative with the wrapping – there's no right or wrong way!
  • Place your wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one so they don’t stick together.
  • Optional Step: Add Cheese – If you want a cheesy twist, place a small piece of cheese under the dough before wrapping. The cheese will melt and add an extra layer of deliciousness.
  • Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet.
  • Create the mummy eyes by dotting mustard or ketchup in the face gap you left earlier. A toothpick works great for this.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy watching these spooky treats disappear in no time!
