  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 6 slices of bacon chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • Preheat Your Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures your Brussels sprouts cook evenly and get perfectly crispy.
  • Prep the Brussels Sprouts: Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and then halve them. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Cook the Bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until it’s crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and let it drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Toss with Oil and Seasonings: Drizzle the Brussels sprouts with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Give them a good toss to make sure they’re evenly coated.
  • Add Maple Syrup: Add the cooked bacon and maple syrup to the Brussels sprouts. Toss again to combine.
  • Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Spread the Brussels sprouts out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Stir halfway through to ensure even cooking.
