Black Friday BBQ Chicken Flatbread Recipe

- 2 large flatbreads store-bought or homemade
- 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 red onion thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
- 1 cup baby arugula optional
- Olive oil for brushing
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the Oven Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
Prepare the Flatbreads Lay out the flatbreads on a clean work surface. Lightly brush each with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Add the BBQ Chicken In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken with BBQ sauce. Mix until the chicken is thoroughly coated. Distribute the BBQ chicken evenly over each flatbread.
Layer the Ingredients Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese over the BBQ chicken, followed by the cheddar cheese. Scatter thin red onion slices on top.
Bake the Flatbreads Carefully place the flatbreads on the preheated pizza stone or directly onto an oven-safe baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbreads are golden brown.
Top and Serve Once done, remove from the oven. Sprinkle freshly chopped cilantro over the flatbreads. Add baby arugula for an extra layer of flavor and crunch, if desired. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
