- 2 oz dark rum
- 2 oz light rum
- 1 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 2 oz orange juice
- ½ oz falernum optional, but adds a nice spice
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- ½ oz grenadine or ½ tsp simple syrup
- Ice cubes
- Pineapple slices and mint sprig for garnish optional
Mix the juices: In a large cocktail shaker or pitcher, pour in the lime juice, pineapple juice, and orange juice.
Add the rum: Now, add both the dark rum and light rum to the mixture.
Sweeten the deal: Add the falernum (if using) and grenadine or simple syrup to balance out the citrus.
Add bitters: Drop in 2 dashes of Angostura bitters to give it that classic Swizzle kick.
Shake it up: Fill your shaker or pitcher with ice and give it a good shake (or stir, if using a pitcher) for about 10-15 seconds until it’s chilled.
Serve: Strain the cocktail into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.
Garnish: Add a pineapple slice and a mint sprig on top for that tropical vibe.
