Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 2 oz light rum
  • 1 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • ½ oz falernum optional, but adds a nice spice
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • ½ oz grenadine or ½ tsp simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Pineapple slices and mint sprig for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix the juices: In a large cocktail shaker or pitcher, pour in the lime juice, pineapple juice, and orange juice.
  • Add the rum: Now, add both the dark rum and light rum to the mixture.
  • Sweeten the deal: Add the falernum (if using) and grenadine or simple syrup to balance out the citrus.
  • Add bitters: Drop in 2 dashes of Angostura bitters to give it that classic Swizzle kick.
  • Shake it up: Fill your shaker or pitcher with ice and give it a good shake (or stir, if using a pitcher) for about 10-15 seconds until it’s chilled.
  • Serve: Strain the cocktail into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.
  • Garnish: Add a pineapple slice and a mint sprig on top for that tropical vibe.
