Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 red bell pepper chopped
  • 2 oz vodka or gin your choice
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda to top
  • Ice cubes
  • Bell pepper slices or lime wedges for garnish
  • Pinch of salt optional

Instructions
 

  • Muddle the bell pepper: In a cocktail shaker, add the chopped bell pepper and simple syrup. Use a muddler to crush the bell pepper pieces until they release their juices and flavors.
  • Add liquids: Pour in the vodka (or gin), freshly squeezed lime juice, and a pinch of salt if you like. The salt enhances the flavors and adds a little something extra.
  • Shake it up: Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. This chills the drink and blends all the flavors together.
  • Strain and serve: Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice, leaving the bell pepper pieces behind.
  • Top with club soda: Add a splash of club soda to give the cocktail a bubbly finish.
