How Strong is a Tokyo Tea?
Tokyo Tea might look fun and fruity, but don’t let the color fool you—this cocktail is quite strong! With a mix of four spirits (vodka, rum, tequila, and gin) plus triple sec, it has a high alcohol content. If you're sipping on one of these, take it slow and enjoy it at a relaxed pace. It’s great for a fun night out or a weekend gathering with friends.
What Makes Tokyo Tea Different from Long Island Iced Tea?
While both drinks share a similar base of multiple spirits, the key difference between Tokyo Tea and Long Island Iced Tea is the addition of Midori, which gives Tokyo Tea its signature green color and sweet, fruity melon flavor.
Long Island Iced Tea uses cola, but in Tokyo Tea, we use lemon-lime soda for a lighter, citrusy taste. This makes Tokyo Tea a bit sweeter and more playful than its iced tea cousin.
