Tips for Perfect Deviled Eggs
- Easy Peeling: To get perfect boiled eggs every time, consider adding a teaspoon of baking soda to the boiling water. This helps the eggshells come off more easily.
- Piping is Key: For a neat and professional look, use a piping bag fitted with a star tip to fill the egg whites. It not only looks good but also helps distribute the yolk mixture evenly.
Storage and Make-Ahead Instructions
- Make Ahead: You can prepare the boiled eggs and the filling a day ahead. Keep them separate and assemble just before serving.
- Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. However, these spooky delights are best enjoyed fresh.

- Bowl of ice water
- Sharp knife for slicing eggs and olives
- Spoon or piping bag for filling the eggs
- Serving platter
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Black olives for spider decoration

Instructions
- Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and let them cook for 10 minutes.
- Cool the Eggs: Transfer the boiled eggs to a bowl of ice water and let them sit for at least 5 minutes. This makes peeling easier.

- Prepare the Filling: Mash the yolks with a fork and add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Fill the Eggs: Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Make the Spiders: Cut the black olives in half for the spider bodies. Slice the remaining halves into thin slices to create legs.
- Assemble the Spiders: Place one olive half in the center of each deviled egg. Arrange the olive slices around them to look like spider legs.
- Garnish (Optional): Sprinkle a little paprika over the top for added color and flavor.
- Serve: Arrange your spooky deviled eggs on a festive platter and watch everyone's faces light up!
