What’s the Barn Hunt Event All About?

Before we jump into the locations, let me give you the lowdown on what this event is all about. The Barn Hunt event in Vehicle Legends challenges players to find 16 hidden car parts scattered across the massive tropical map. Once you’ve collected all these parts, you’ll unlock the exclusive 1976 Volkswagen SP-2 – and let me tell you, this car is absolutely worth the effort!

I remember when I first started this hunt, I was running around like a headless chicken, not knowing where to begin. But after some trial and error (and maybe a little frustration), I figured out the most efficient route to collect all the parts. And now, I’m passing that knowledge on to you!

August 2026 Pro Tips Before You Start Hunting

Before we dive into the specific locations, let me share some pro tips that I wish I knew when I started:

  • Use the in-game hint board – If you’re stuck, this will point you toward missing parts
  • Parts don’t need to be delivered back – Just collect them and they’re automatically counted
  • Check rooftops and high places – Many parts are hidden in tricky spots
  • Bring a fast car – You’ll be doing a lot of driving across the map
  • Take screenshots – This helps you remember which parts you’ve already found

Trust me, these tips will save you a ton of time and frustration. I learned them the hard way so you don’t have to!

All 16 Car Part Locations – Complete Guide

Alright, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this guide. I’ve organized these locations in what I found to be the most efficient route, but feel free to tackle them in whatever order works best for you.

1. Wheels – Inside the Barn

  • Location: Inside the Barn on the left side
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • My Experience: This is probably the easiest part to find, and it’s a great place to start your hunt!

When you first teleport to the barn area, just head inside and look to your left. The wheels are sitting right there on the ground, practically begging to be collected. I found this part on my first try, and it gave me the confidence boost I needed to tackle the rest of the hunt.

2. Headlights – Near Construction Site

  • Location: Near construction site on cement tubes
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • My Experience: These were a bit tricky to spot at first!

From the Barn, drive straight toward the city and take a left when you see the construction site. You’ll spot the headlights sitting on top of some cement tubes. I actually drove past this spot a couple of times before I finally noticed them up there. Pro tip: look up!

3. Backlight – Coastal Road

  • Location: Near palm/coconut tree along coastal road
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • My Experience: Beautiful location, easy to find!

This one’s along the coastal road that connects the two major bridges. Look for a distinctive palm or coconut tree, and you’ll find the backlight nearby. I loved the scenic drive to this location – made the hunt feel like a vacation!

4. Steering Wheel – Airport Taxiway

  • Location: At airport taxiway
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • My Experience: Airport area can be confusing, but worth it!

Head to the airport by taking the road that goes up from the Vehicle Legends Racing hub. The steering wheel is waiting for you on the taxiway between the runway and terminal buildings. I got a bit turned around in the airport area, so take your time and follow the signs.

5. Gearbox – Aircraft Hangar

  • Location: Inside central Aircraft Customization building hangar
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • My Experience: Had to explore a bit, but found it eventually!

Look for the plane/helicopter icon on your map and head to the hangar area. The gearbox is inside the central Aircraft Customization building. I spent a good 10 minutes running around different hangars before I found the right one, so don’t get discouraged if it takes you a minute too.

6. Trunk – Docks Cargo Container

  • Location: On top of cargo container at Docks/harbor area
  • Difficulty: Hard
  • My Experience: This one tested my climbing skills!

Head to the docks area on the western side of the map. You’ll need to climb up on top of one of the cargo containers to find the trunk. This was definitely one of the more challenging parts for me to reach, but the view from up there is pretty cool!

7. Exhaust – City Center

  • Location: Center of city opposite parking area under flyover
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • My Experience: Easy to miss if you’re not looking carefully!

In the exact center of the city, look under the flyover opposite the parking area. The exhaust is hiding near a building with a distinctive dot pattern. I drove through this area multiple times before I finally spotted it down below.

8. Right Seat – Racing Circuit

  • Location: Near racing circuit behind Miami Beach
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • My Experience: Great spot for racing fans!

Cross the bridge to Miami Beach and head to the racing circuit. The right seat is near the audience arena. As someone who loves the racing aspect of Vehicle Legends, I enjoyed checking out this area and imagining the crowds cheering me on.

9. Left Seat – Beach Road

  • Location: Near tree between two buildings along beach road
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • My Experience: Nice beachside location!

Not far from the right seat, head outside the racing circuit and travel along the beach road. You’ll find the left seat near a tree between two buildings. The beach atmosphere here really adds to the adventure feel of the hunt.

10. Engine – Miami Beach Pond

  • Location: Near small pond in Miami Beach area
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • My Experience: Peaceful spot with a hidden surprise!

From the Miami Beach signboard, take a left and follow the coast road toward the other bridge. You’ll come across a small pond area, and that’s where you’ll find the engine. I actually stumbled upon this by accident while exploring the beach area – sometimes the best discoveries happen when you’re not even looking!

11. Pedals – Luxury House

  • Location: In front of lavish house on way to Miami Beach
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • My Experience: Felt like a VIP visiting this mansion!

After crossing the toll booth on your way to Miami Beach, keep an eye out for a really fancy house. The pedals are right there in front of it. I couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like to live in such a place while I was grabbing this part.

12. Right Door – Waterfall Rock

  • Location: On rock in front of Waterfall (northern map)
  • Difficulty: Hard
  • My Experience: The journey was worth it for this view!

Head to the northern side of the map where you’ll find a beautiful waterfall. The right door is sitting on a rock right in front of it. This was one of my favorite locations just because of how stunning the waterfall is – definitely take a moment to enjoy the scenery!

13. Left Door – Customization Building

  • Location: Inside Customization building opposite Car Dealership
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • My Experience: Back to familiar territory!

This one’s nice and easy to find. Just head to the customization building that’s opposite the Car Dealership building, and you’ll find the left door inside. It’s always nice to come back to areas you know well during these hunts.

14. Front Bumper – Harbor Bridge

  • Location: Near bridge adjacent to Harbor/Docks
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • My Experience: Almost missed this one!

Travel straight near the bridge that’s adjacent to the Harbor/Docks area. The front bumper is right in the middle of the bridge. I actually drove over this part a couple of times before I realized what I was looking for – sometimes the most obvious spots are the easiest to miss!

15. Rear Bumper – Waterfall Slope

  • Location: Near slope below Waterfall towards Harbor
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • My Experience: Great two-for-one location!

From the waterfall location (where you found the right door), travel a little downward toward the Harbor area. You’ll find the rear bumper near a slight slope. I love when parts are clustered together like this – makes the hunt so much more efficient!

16. Hood – Parking Lot Building

  • Location: On top of Parking Lot Building opposite Racing Hub
  • Difficulty: Hard
  • My Experience: The final challenge!

Last but certainly not least, head to the Parking Lot Building that’s just opposite the Vehicle Legends Racing Hub. You’ll need to drive all the way to the top to find the hood sitting in a corner. This was the final part I needed, and let me tell you, the feeling of completion was absolutely incredible!

My Personal Hunting Strategy (2026)

Now, let me share the strategy I developed after completing this hunt multiple times. I’ve found that grouping the parts by area makes the whole process much more efficient:

Zone 1: Barn and Surrounding Area (Parts 1, 2, 13)

Start here since it’s where you teleport in. Grab the wheels inside the barn, then head to the nearby construction site for headlights, and finish with the left door at the customization building.

Zone 2: City Center (Parts 7, 9)

Hit up the city center for the exhaust and left seat. These are relatively close to each other and make for a quick duo.

Zone 3: Miami Beach Area (Parts 8, 10, 11)

Cross over to Miami Beach and grab the right seat, engine, and pedals. The beach atmosphere makes this a pleasant hunting zone.

Zone 4: Airport and Harbor (Parts 4, 5, 6, 14, 15)

This is your biggest zone, but it’s worth it. Hit up the airport for steering wheel and gearbox, then the docks for trunk, front bumper, and rear bumper.

Zone 5: Waterfall and Final Stretch (Parts 3, 12, 16)

Finish strong with the coastal road backlight, waterfall right door, and the challenging hood on top of the parking building.

I’ve found that following this route saves me a ton of time compared to just randomly driving around. Plus, it gives me a sense of progression as I complete each zone!

The Reward: 1976 Volkswagen SP-2

Let me tell you, all this effort is absolutely worth it for the 1976 Volkswagen SP-2. This car is not just a cool collectible – it’s actually a pretty impressive ride! I’ve taken it for a spin around the map, and it handles beautifully.

The vintage styling combined with modern performance makes this car stand out in my garage. Every time I drive it, other players stop to check it out. It’s definitely become one of my favorite vehicles in the game.

What I love most about this car is how unique it is. Unlike some of the other vehicles you can just buy in the game, the Volkswagen SP-2 shows that you put in the time and effort to complete the Barn Hunt event. It’s like a badge of honor!

Common Problems and Solutions

During my hunting adventures, I ran into a few issues that I want to help you avoid:

“I Can’t Find a Part That Should Be There!”

This happened to me a couple of times. Sometimes parts can be a bit finicky about spawning. If you’re absolutely sure you’re in the right spot but don’t see the part, try leaving the area and coming back. Also, make sure you’re looking in the exact right spot – some parts are hidden in tricky corners.

“My Game Crashed and I Lost Progress!”

Ugh, this is the worst! I learned the hard way to collect parts in smaller groups rather than trying to get them all in one marathon session. If your game crashes, you might lose some progress, so it’s better to take breaks and let the game save your progress.

“The Part Won’t Let Me Collect It!”

Sometimes parts can be glitchy. If you’re standing right on top of a part but can’t collect it, try jumping around it or approaching from a different angle. I’ve found that sometimes you need to hit that sweet spot for the collection to trigger.

FAQ’s

How long does it take to complete the Barn Hunt event?

From my experience, it takes about 1-2 hours if you know where you’re going. If you’re figuring it out as you go, it might take 3-4 hours. That’s why I put together this guide – to help you get it done as quickly as possible!

Do I need any special vehicles to reach all the parts?

Not really! I used a standard sports car for most of my hunt, and that worked fine. The only parts that might be tricky are the ones on top of containers and buildings, but you can reach those with regular cars too.

Can I complete the event with friends?

Absolutely! In fact, I recommend it. Hunting with friends makes the whole experience more fun, and you can cover more ground together. Just make sure everyone collects their own parts – they don’t share.

What happens if I can’t find all the parts in time?

Don’t worry! The event lasts for a while, so you have plenty of time to complete it. Just keep at it, and use this guide to help you find any tricky parts.

Is the Volkswagen SP-2 worth the effort?

100% yes! I was honestly surprised by how much I love this car. It’s not just about having a rare vehicle – it’s actually really fun to drive and looks amazing.

Additional Tips from My Experience

After completing this hunt multiple times (yes, I’m a bit obsessed!), I’ve picked up some additional tips that might help you:

  • Play during off-peak hours – The game runs smoother, and there are fewer players getting in your way
  • Take breaks – Hunting for 16 parts can be mentally exhausting. I found that taking short breaks helped me stay focused
  • Use the map wisely – Zoom in and out to get a better sense of where you are and where you need to go
  • Don’t rush – It’s easy to miss parts when you’re speeding around. Take your time and enjoy the journey!

Why This Event is Special?

Let me take a moment to talk about why I think the Barn Hunt event is one of the best events in Vehicle Legends. Unlike some events that just require you to click buttons or wait around, this event actually encourages exploration and discovery.

I discovered parts of the map I had never visited before, even though I’ve been playing Vehicle Legends for a while. The event designers did an amazing job of hiding parts in interesting and scenic locations that make you want to explore every corner of the game.

Plus, there’s something really satisfying about the progression of collecting parts and watching your collection grow. It feels like you’re actually building something piece by piece, which is way more engaging than just being handed a reward.

Final Thoughts

As I wrap up this guide, I want to encourage you to really take your time with this event. Yes, the goal is to get the Volkswagen SP-2, but don’t forget to enjoy the journey along the way. Some of my favorite memories in Vehicle Legends come from the exploration I did during this event.

I hope this guide helps you complete the Barn Hunt event quickly and efficiently. Remember, if you get stuck, just refer back to this guide, and you’ll be back on track in no time.

Happy hunting, and I hope to see you cruising around in your new Volkswagen SP-2 soon!
