Halloween Graveyard Dirt Pudding Cup Recipe
Equipment
- Large mixing bowl
- Whisk
- Rolling pin or food processor
- Ziploc bag
- Serving cups
Ingredients
- 1 package 3.9 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 package 14.3 oz Oreo cookies
- 1 tub 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- A handful of gummy worms
- Decorative chocolates or candies like candy pumpkins, edible tombstones
- Optional: Green food coloring for grass effect
Instructions
Make the Pudding:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk.
- Stir for about 2 minutes until the pudding thickens. Let it sit for another 5 minutes.
Prepare the Dirt:
- While the pudding is setting, put the Oreo cookies into a large Ziploc bag. Crush them using a rolling pin or a food processor until they resemble coarse dirt.
Combine Pudding with Whipped Topping:
- Fold the whipped topping into the set pudding mixture until well-combined. This gives the pudding a lighter, creamier texture.
Layer the Pudding Cups:
- Fill each serving cup about halfway with the pudding mixture. Then add a layer of crushed Oreos.
- Add another layer of pudding, followed by another layer of crushed Oreos on top.
Decorate:
- Insert a few gummy worms into each cup so they look like they're crawling out of the dirt.
- Add decorative chocolates or candies to represent tombstones, pumpkins, or other spooky items.
- Optionally, sprinkle some green food coloring over certain areas to give a grassy look.
Chill:
- Refrigerate the cups for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together. Serve chilled.
